FAQs

What’s with the song pricings?

The seeming standard cost of individual songs ranges from $.99-$1.25, as covered in the About section I am a single person production and although I know the theoretical, and applicational, side of music I had zero knowledge or experience in the recording or engineering side until trying my hand at it. Although I’m now to the point of producing satisfactory pieces, in just starting out, I would never dare compare them to professional quality recordings coming from talented engineers with years of experience/talent, the same skills that end up charging $.99-$1.25. I can’t in good conscience take a piece with few audio mistakes and allow it to have the same cost as songs with no audio mistakes and mixed to perfection by experts in their craft. Its because of this that until I feel my recordings are just as flawless they will always be marked significantly less in the name of fairness and transparency.

Is it possible to sample pieces before purchase?

Any new piece I produce will be featured on my homepage giving you the opportunity to decide if you enjoy them or not. In addition my YouTube page will have all my songs posted so even if a piece is no longer featured you can still listen to them at any time and decide which ones you like. My YouTube can be found in the dropdown menu anywhere from the site but I’ll also post the link here

If everything’s on your YouTube what’s the point in purchasing anything I might like?

Honestly there is no incentive or reason to. Most people in our craft hates hearing this but it’s the truth, you can go your whole life never buying a single song because they’re available right at your fingertips (for free!) through the portable computer you’re no doubt reading this off of. The only reason to purchase a song (aside from any morality argument) from any artist is to show and give support for the work they’ve put in, but if you’re one of those people who are perfectly content listening to Enter Sandman through a random channel on YouTube without ever paying Metallica a single dollar directly your entire life then thats that. Support comes in many different forms so if you enjoy any works I might produce, and aren’t willing to purchase a single one, I just ask that if you enjoyed them enough to not be shy about telling others about your enjoyment. Every little bit helps and I’d be proud just knowing people enjoyed my works :)

What pieces do you primarily produce?

For now, being a one person production, I can only dabble in instrumental works. I have lyrics written for a variety of songs but I’m not a singer so those projects are on hiatus until I find people able to sing the registers I need and able to find the time to record (that seems to be a big hassle these days). I’m foreseeing and wanting to branch into all genres at some point and have a vast variety of works to choose from but for now some styles are just simply out of my reach with the current setup and tools I have.
