I am a single production musician who writes, composes, records, edits, and produces all parts from start to finish. My background is in theory and guitar of which I went to college for only to, unfortunately, find out higher academic learning in music doesn’t view anything outside of Classical or Jazz as acceptable applications of the instrument or music in general. I don’t believe in any academic pursuit if it ignorantly throws aside and ignores aspects of said pursuit, so seeing this major defect in their belief I left academia with two AA’s and broke away to pursue music and continue the gathering of knowledge on my own.

Ultimately I just enjoy discussing, creating, and theorizing music and the endless possibilities within melody creation always gets me passionately inspired. Outside of initial interests in music the main goal I have is to learn, apply, and master as much about music as possible, not even really for the profit of it but rather solely for the betterment of myself as a musician and guitarist. I have already deciphered many secrets of music, even the ambiguous question “What is music?”, but the pursuit of knowledge is seemingly a journey that has no end for as soon you climb what was once perceived as an impossible plateau you gaze upward on your new higher footing only to realize there’s now an even higher peak still out of your reach. A teacher I highly respected once gave me this advice that I still cling to currently and I’ll paraphrase now: The only person you have to be better than is yourself from the day prior. Maybe none of this resonates with you personally but it might to someone else: don’t allow yourself to become downtrodden because you aren’t good enough when compared to the best in any pursuit you do, just make sure to be better than the person you were a week ago and make improvements where necessary.
